What the plugin does

- WooCommerce support — product images use product keywords and category context
- SEO gap detection — identifies images where alt text doesn't reflect the page keyword
- Captions & descriptions — generate all three media fields in one request
- Decorative image support — mark images as decorative to suppress alt text (WCAG compliant)
- ACF image field support — scans Advanced Custom Fields image fields automatically
- Before & after CSV report — snapshot every image before and after your bulk scan, then download a full CSV to share with your client
How it works
- Install the plugin from the WordPress plugin directory and activate it
- Enter your ALTification API key from your dashboard
- Run the Site Scan to assess your images and generate alt text in bulk or page by page
An API key from altification.ai is required. The plugin never calls AI providers directly — all generation is handled securely on the ALTification platform. You do not need an Anthropic or OpenAI account.
