not just the image
Most alt text tools pull images from your media library in isolation — they see a JPEG with no context. ALTification scans the page the image actually lives on. That means the content around your image — the headline, the product name, the article topic — all informs what gets written. Keywords and context are drawn automatically from your SEO plugin's focus keyphrase and meta description (Yoast, Rank Math, SEOPress, All in One SEO, and The SEO Framework are all supported), with page titles as a fallback. The same product photo on a category page gets different alt text to the same photo on a specific product detail page. That's how it should work.

For WooCommerce stores this makes a particular difference.
